What is Hepcinat?
Hepcinat is one of the generic versions of Sovaldi. It is a once-daily oral hepatitis C virus (HCV) – specific nucleotide analog polymerase inhibitor. Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of Sofosbuvir.
Uses of Hepcinat Tablet
Hepcinat 400 mg tablet is used in combination with other medicinal products for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) virus infection in adults.

Hepcinat 400 mg Tablet is an antiviral medication. This drug acts by inhibiting the certain enzymes and helps in preventing hepatitis C viral replication process. Thus, Hepcinat Tablet improves liver function and reduces the damage. This medicine also helps to keep liver disorders such as cirrhosis and liver cancer at bay. Hepcinat Sofosbuvir 400 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of hepatitis B infection.
How to Use Hepcinat Tablet
Hepcinat is taken as a 400-mg pill once per day. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take your medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. You may take Hepcinat 400 mg (Generic Sovaldi) with or without food.
The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Your doctor will perform blood tests to make sure you do not have conditions that would prevent you from safely using Hepcinat Sofosbuvir.

Hepcinat Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. If this medicine is prescribed, your doctor will advise you to discontinue breastfeeding.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist whether it ‘s safe to drive. To drive safely, you need to be able to see, think and react properly. Hepcinat hepatitis medicine may affect some of these skills. If you are taking this drug, it may not be safe to drive. Hepcinat is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Sofosbuvir or any other medicines of the same drug class.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of Pancreatitis due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
If you forget to take Hepcinat
All medications work best when they are taken exactly as prescribed and directed. This means taking the medications in the right amount and at the right time for the entire time that your treatment lasts. Skipping doses or stopping treatment altogether means that the treatment may not work as well and the chance of being cured is lower.
If you miss taking a dose of Hepcinat 400mg, take it as soon as possible. If it is close to the next time when you would take Hepcinat, wait and take the next tablet at your regular time. Do not take a double dose.
Don’t take Hepcinat more than the prescribed dose. There’s a limited amount of research on what effect an overdose of Hepcinat 400 mg might have. If you take too much of the drug, call your doctor right away. If you or someone else has any severe symptoms after taking the drug and you suspect an overdose, go to the closest hospital emergency room.
